Ben Mercer “I am drawn to the human figure. The beauty of my subjects, are often women lost in concentration or imbued with sense of melancholy.” The photography skills he achieved while in college still in supply the foundation or his work today. By taking photographs, Ben is able to freeze time and capture the full essence of the minute for drawing at a later time. Being a rue perfectionist, his works are complete in his head before he presses the shutter on his camera or puts the pen to paper.
His style is distinctive, because of his obsession with detail and exactness.
