LeRoy Beasley
Sculpture
LeRoy Beasley was born in College Station, Arkansas.
LeRoy Beasley is a self taught sculptor. Sculpting has
always come easy for LeRoy. What is interesting about
Leroy’s sculpting is that he does not use molds, all of the
sculptures he creates are free form and freehand.
He is a master at capturing strong features and emotion
in the subjects he creates and many times his subjects
are inspired by family members.

His approach is strong and intelligent, LeRoy,
incorporates a sense of tender emotion, and as well
as a sensible strength of an artist. LeRoy’s art work has
appeared in solo and group exhibitions, such as the Kansas
City Cork’s and Canvas exhibition. His noted work to date
“Maggie” has appeared in the Kansas City Star, other works
of LeRoy have appeared in the Independent Magazine.
Le Roy has works in private collections.
“My Art came from my need to express my spirit,
I never cared for clay but I got the idea to use plaster because
I worked with it everyday and it challenged me because it harden
quickly, making it very unforgiving if left unattended too long.
I started small and progressed to where I am now
and where I am soon to be.
LeRoy Beasley continues to live and work in Kansas City
